So each building in this country has two numbers. One is the address and the other is a catalogue number of sorts. An ID number. It seems that the addresses run in order ascending or descending with odd numbers on one side of the street and even on the other (although not the rule). The other number seems to be chronological and refers to a whole list of other pertinent info about the building. Now I have had this explained to me many times by Czech people but to me it is still really stupid. It makes no sense at all. Because if that address on that street always refers to the same building then why do you need a second number? Even in elementary school you learn a fundamental proof that: if A=B then it is true that B=A. So what the hell is going on?
The Czechs; re-inventing the wheel again!

in fact the odd v.s. even thing is pretty cool in Prague. Not sure who the civil engineer was but he decided to make all the odd numbers on the side of the street closest to the river. Pretty cool.
What about when the street runs perpendicular to the river?
why stick bend in watta?
